Dining Guest Information

About the Club

Butterfield Country Club has long established itself as having one of the finest dining and banquet programs of all Country Clubs in the Chicagoland area. The Clubhouse has a variety of dining rooms, each with a different dining ambience. Our culinary team uses the highest quality of products and consistently serve superb food, the finest wines, and assorted custom cocktails and craft beers.

Upon entering the property, guests should proceed to the valet podium located near the entrance of the Clubhouse. The attendant will park your car if you wish, and direct the you to the Front Desk Reception. Guests attending private events should adhere to the Butterfield Room dress code.

  • Dining Room Dress Codes
    • The Butterfield Room provides a more “formal" dining experience. At a minimum, gentlemen should wear
slacks and a shirt with a collar, coats are preferred. For ladies, dresses or skirt/blouse, and pant outfits are
      encouraged.

The Grill provides a casual dining ambiance, welcoming families, members and guests looking for a relaxed, casual meal. Therefore, golf and tennis attire are welcome, as well as other casual clothing such as Capri’s, shorts, Bermuda shorts, and approved denim. Hats, swimwear, tee shirts, and non dress denim are not permitted in the Grill Room.

Pub and Patio dining is generally a relaxed environment that can be a casual lunch and/or dinner. Golf and casual attire, are acceptable and properly worn hats are acceptable on the patio, but not in the Pub.  We ask that shirts be tucked in.  Again, as with all attire, what might be inappropriate for adults and teens might well be very appropriate for small children.

  • Cell Phone Policy
    • Cell phones, iPads, etc are now a necessity of life and we recognize there are many personal and business reasons for having them available. We prefer instruments be carried on silent or vibrating mode. If a call is received while in the clubhouse, we ask that you use the lobby or step outside for all except the briefest of calls.

Important: Due to the fact that most instruments have camera/ video capabilities, our insurance carrier insists that instruments not be used in the pool locker rooms, nor in any wet areas or locker rooms of the Club.
